Im trying to get the best picture from my PC which has a Nvidia GE 6600 video card to my Panasonic Plasma. Im trying to do the VGA to VGA thing as most people on here have advised me. The video card has a VGA & a DVI output. I have the VGA outputing to my PC monitor ( Samsung Syncmaster ) and have a DVI to VGA adapter going to the Plasma however the Plasma only displays the desktop wallpaper picture - no icons etc - and when I play video nothing happens - just wallpaper picture the whole time? This is in Dual screen mode with the PC monitor as the primary. If I make the Plasma the primary display then the Plasma works perfectly showing the desktop as normal but the resolution on the PC monitor is crap. It seems as tho I cant adjust the different displays individualy as dual screen mode implies??? Any help appreciated please, cheers.

I was playing around with this on my LCD just last night! I found that I could adjust the secondary monitor resolution after closing the screen resolution applet and then reopening it again (and that my LCD will only do 1280x720/50 over DVI, but that is another story).

That said, what OS are you using? I'm running Vista on my [main] MCE machine, I know that you can change the resolutions for each monitor in the Nvidia control panel applet there, but I wouldn't know about XP as that machine has an ATI card.

Hi, if you could see wall screen on plasma tv, it works. one thing you need to do is that once you use computer or internet no matter what software you use on your computer, you need to drag your computer screen to plasma tv. just restore your computer screen using the icon on the top light and then drag whole the screen by mouse to far light from your computer screen then you could see the whole computer screen appear into your plasma tv.

Now you could use mouse to maxmise the the software on your plasma tv screen by mouse. your mouse could be moved on your computer and plasma tv as well.

hope this helps you.

Cheers

Hi, I run my laptop through my pannie plasma using the S-Video tv out.

If you have the Wallpaper image showing on the TV (when your computer is the primary) you are pretty much there.  What you need to do is open the video file that you want to view on your computer and drag the window off the computer monitor's screen over to the tv.  Then go full screen mode and you will be cooking with gas.

You might need to play around with resolution though. The resolution of each screen does seem to be dependant or related in some way.  I am running XP on my lappie and i often have trouble with the resolution on the computer (primary) changing when I plug in to the tv.  It is a pain but not unworkable.

Good luck!
