I have had multiple try's at various angles to get this to tune to freeview sat tv.

I'm tuned to D1 NZ sat 160.0....

I have tried shacking everything even reset so i can go through the "wizard installers"

So far win 7 MC only pics up Channel 1,2 (acossiated +1) and maori tv. though 3 +1 shows and several other channels show but no image or sound

Also

WinTv vs 7 picks up nothing

I know some stuff about sat tv -what sat dish to use but that where it about ends but obviously not enough to figure out why nothing will tune except for those channels

things like what lof means in the wintv set up or what ksymbol/s actually means and what that number should be  -this kind of stuff I don't know.

Hey I have just tuned my 4400 cards to freeview recently and it was a bit fiddly until I figured out how, so hopefully this info can help you:

1. Go to the TV Signal set up and select the 2nd option (cant remember the name sorry)
2. Region = NZ
3. Post code = doesn't matter so 1234
4. Choose Optus D1 satellite
5. LNB custom single oscillator
6. Frequency try 11300 or 10750 apparently its different for different people but should be one of those.

This should pick up most channels but not some others like Prime and a couple of the plus 1 channels.

Now you need to go to the 1st option under the tv tune menu (sorry not at home so cant remember what its called)

You will now need to do 3 specific searches to get the rest of the channels:

Frequency: 12483
Frequency: 12456
Frequency: 12707 (This will get prime and some locked sky ones)

All of these you should use 22500 for the ksymbol (I think it was called) and Optus D1.

I will check the details of the menu names when I am home.

Hopefully that works for you - it did for me.

I thank you very much but after turning my head into mince meat from banging it against a brick wall i solved it yesterday after speaking to a RL Geek (think he post here as well) But your help would of been most appreciated if I did not sort it out.
