Hey all,

Ok so I've recently moved to UFB, got a new ASUS modem (don't have the model on me at the moment) and connection is running really well.
So I thought I'd connect Plex to my NAS and share my (legit) library with my friends, and they've shared theirs with me.

Problem..
I can stream their library ok but they can't see mine, so I logged into my plex server and it is connected.
However.. it says I'm connected but can't connect from outside my network.
My friends are able to see shared library but can't load it..

I'm pretty sure it's my modem.
So I logged into the modem, set the NAS to a DHCP reservation.. forwarded the default ports (set a port number in plex, which is the standard port number anyways) and still not able to share..
My modem is the DHCP server, I have 2 enterprise wifi appliances setup but they aren't DHCP and the NAS is connected directly to the modem so bypasses the wifi anyways.

Everything works fault free locally, just not able to share online.
Not sure what else to try, hate to think it's the modem (which by the way is the one MyRepublic distribute..

I've read that it could be double NAT, could be firewall, spybot etc or antivirus etc..
Disabled anti virus and removed spybot/malwarebytes..
Windows firewall isn't enabled as Nod32 takes over, disabled that when testing too..

Any ideas or things to try out?
Anyone else had this issue?

:)

Sorry, should have put two and two together.

Might be worth contacting them and asking for a public facing IP (Or to confirm you already have one).

I know Bigpipe run their own NAT and you have to request this, unsure about MR.

That solved the issues I had with Plex and external access.

Ok sweet, so yea, OP will need to contact MR and ask for a public facing or static IP.
