i have a logitech 785 remote which works well. its sending its signal to another room via an arco arc1204 IR repeater to an HP IR receiever....

in XBMC it will scroll down perfectly well if going straight from the logitech to the HP IR receiver...leaving your finger on the down arrow will just continue to scroll down the list

HOWEVER..when going through the IR repaeter it will only go down once to the next line and will not scroll. if you want to go down 20 lines you need to push down 20 times!

i'm thinking its an issue with the timing of pulses from the logitech? anyone else had this issue?

(it works fine beaming to the onkyo HT amp btw. vol up/down will scroll if you leave your finger pressed)

You can change the repeat rate in the Logitech software I believe. You may find that it's overloading the repeater. I had to wind back mine with a different receiver.

Yeah, this is what I would start to look at. Increasing or decreasing the repeat rate can have a big effect on the remote.
