I have a 5th generation i3 NUC which works perfectly as a HTPC.

According to the Intel blurb: "The system includes consumer infrared sensor so you can use a remote control for your NUC right from your couch"

Do any geekzoners use this feature?

If so, what remote/software is required?

I've got the Celeron version but it likely has the same IR. I just have a Windows Media Centre remote made by Hauppage and it worked out of the box with MediaPortal.

I also use a MCE remote with my Intel NUC. Works great. I got it with an Acer laptop that I retired a couple of years back.

Confirmed: I have a Celeron NUC with the built in iR receiver and use Logitech Harmony remotes without a problem.
Remote is configured as a Windows Media Centre Remote.
