I have a Denon AVR-1912 Amp with PSB T6 and PSB centre speaker and wanted to add a sub but not sure whether to stick with PSB or I can get any good brand? also "for a small size living area is 10ïnch sub good enough? I am assuming with amp I should use only passive sub?

Any recommendations considering above set of equipment?

thanks all for any input to point me in right direction.

Don't stick to same brand.

I'd recommend svs sb2000 or pb2000, they will give you 10% off if you fill out their survey. Would be around $1170 / $1350. The pb2000 will go a bit louder, but takes up more room. The sb2000 will take up less space and have slightly better low end extension at quieter volume.

I've the PB2000, and while it is fantastic it is also very large! Given you say the space is t huge this may be a consideration. There used to be smaller versions of both of there (SB/PB1000) - are there's still around? Overall, SVS subs offer great performance for the price.

Note, no matter the size of the room you should buy an active not passive sub. It's just not feasible to power a sub from the amplifier. You'll also struggle to find a passive sub these days, plus modern sub amps are designed specifically for the purpose and are suitably powered for moving those coils.

As mentioned earlier, simply purchase a powered sub and connect with a 75ohm sub cable.
Now when it comes to choosing a sub, it's the same as buying speakers...
Get a few back home to your house and try them for yourself!
Most subwoofer reviews are simply reviews of the authors room - such is the way bass travels through the room in relationship to the listening position / room dynamics.

For me, a calibration system is a must to help tame any peaks and troughs.
I've had the best results that way.

Buying speakers / subs without listening is a fools errand IMHO.
