I have had issues with my Pipo X7 and streaming MKV files since day 1.  After about 9 minutes or so, the video and sound starts to get choppy.  I have to reboot the device then start again where I left off.

I have tried the built in Media Player as well as VLC and 5kPlayer.  My network is wired using cat5e plugged into a Gbit switch, I have tested the cabling.  I have even tried copying MKV files to a thumb drive and watching them that way.  The unit is not warm to the touch.

I have loaded all the latest drivers from Pipo.cn however I cannot for the life of me get the PiPO X7_Software_English version to download.  The main file in the cabinet is corrupt.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thank you,
Roboito

I had major problems with my Pipo when I first got it, and they sound a lot like what you are experiencing. It all turned out to be due to overheating resulting from poor design. This was not obvious at first, but after running for a time, especially when the CPU is working hard (with me this was while recording HDMI), it throttles down and that causes all the other performance problems. I was finally only able to get it working satisfactorily by adding heat sinks everywhere I could and then a small fan from a laptop. Since then I haven't had any problems.
