Get one of each. I find between all the consoles I have with the included games each month and being able to get the whole pool of games in the bargain bin at the warehouse etc that I never dont have anything to play. Limiting to a single platform would halve the available cheap games.

Look at the game exclusives and software features of both and see which you like the best. Go to a store and get a feel of both game controllers and see which you prefer. I personally have an Xbox One.

Already discussed several times on GZ. IIRC for hardcore gaming the general consensus was the PS4 is superior, but for an all round multi media experience the Xbox was best. My son went through that choice and went with the Xbox. Couldn't be happier.




Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Both are good. All boils down to what games and title exclusivities.

I have PlayStation (2, 3, 4 and Vita). I am looking to get Wii U to complement my new 3DS, and possibly Xbox One for Windows 10-ness.




Internet is my backyard...

Yep, the consensus is a PC gaming rig will offer the best graphics and the most features and add on-abilty (as many allow third parties or users to create add ons.

BUT, and its a big but,a top level graphics card to do all this is at least 50% more bucks than a console, plus the rest of the PC

Was/am a big PS fan, but then wife won an XBox One, and Im loving it.....  only thing Im frustrated about is the lack of free multiplay - you need to be a Xbox Live paid member for that.

Im not a console gamer, I have a PS4 solely for F1 2015 online with a mate in Oz. But he said the other day he needs PS+ sub for multiplayer, so I guess both are quite equivalent on subscription needs?
