My WDTV Live has operated flawlessly for a couple of years, but has now started not responding to the remote. The only way I can get it to work again is to unplug the device for a reboot. After I've done this, the remote works again - but only for a while. It seems that the remote freeze is happening if the remote is not used for a period of time.

Anyone else had similar problems? I've searched the net but can't find any fixes ...

Just discovered audioenz.co.nz has a current forum on this very issue ... so I'll head over there for answers

I've had that very infrequently but on more than one occasion. Not for a while. In my case its non responsive to the remote, unplug, all good for a long time.
Maybe unplug for at least 15 seconds? Allows every electronic means to discharge.

Same here, has been ongoing for the last few months now. The only way to get it to respond again is via pulling the power cord out of the WDTV.

edit: So as to be a bit more helpful, here is the link for a fix posted on audioenz forums.

Anyone know if you can download the "Grid" theme separately after downgrading the firmware?

Definitely more stable on the old firmware, but I liked the Grid theme that come with the new firmware.
