I have started building a wiki for Home Theatre PC's....

After helping with the success that is the NZ Connections wiki, I decided to do one about HTPC's, collating everything I can find into one website.

I am now looking for people who would like to contribute, join this fun project from the ground up, as a wiki is only a wiki with contributions from the community...

Being a wiki, anyone can make edits, and the information there is free for all to use...

The project is moving along fast, and I have most sections built already, putting allot of time into the hardware 'housing' page, with many photos and descriptions of many specialized HTPC cases...

But as with any wiki project, there is plenty yet to be added, and I am looking for people to join this exciting project and make their contributions. I am also open to any suggestions from the Geekzone community as to what could be included, suggestions, features etc.

Any suggestions or questions, please feel free to private message me through either Geekzone or use the email provided on the HTPC nz wiki website, or leave any comments here in this thread and I will respond.

My user name is 'Admin', but that should be obvious as I am the only member at this point.

It can be found here: HTPC nz

Edit: I am 1 of 2 members/users now!

Project update:

Have most hardware and software covered...including a large selection of HTPC cases with photos...
Will source local prices for comparison shortly.

Will now start focusing on the comparison tables...have one already for PVR's but will do one more at least for the cases...

I'm also about to implement the forums (hopefully)

I have purchased a domain name, that will be up shorty (htpcnz.net)

And I am looking at other hosting options, as hosting with scribblewiki means I am limited to what I can do.

So its moving along fast, but I'm still looking for other contributors, any out there?
Interested in being a Sysop? PM me...

Project update:

-Have changed host (found scribblewiki wikifarm hosting to restrictive and unresponsive)
-New domain now up (htpcnz.net)
-Forums are up (but lacking posts obviously)
-Registered site with google for using webmaster tools, statistics etc

Still to implement:
-Build a sitemap
-Looking at Adwords
-Working on adding more comparisons (currently have PVR software and TV Tuners)
-Will attempt to modify forum extension code to provide extra functionality
-Complete the 'Build a HTPC' guide
-Add local prices for components in comparison table

And there is plenty more to be added, modified, edited etc...

If you have something valuable to add, come visit the site, add your 2 cents, all contributions are welcome
If your interested in helping run/moderate the site, PM me as this is a wiki, which means it needs a community and be edited/maintained by the community.
