Hi all,

So i got my hands on a Win-TV Nova T Stick USB and decided to try it in my Raspberry PI running Kodi.

The firmware installed automatically which was pretty cool. I enabled a few of the inbuilt PVR's and also enabled the Live TV feature in Kodi.

At this point, i don't know where to go to from here. The 'TV' tab doesn't appear in the Kodi menu, even after disabling/enabling the Live TV and PVR's time and time again. I am able to press the PVR shortcut key which takes me to a Live TV menu but there are no channels.

How do i add/scan for channels? I can't see anything in the PVR configuration to do this.

Any help would be appreciated!

I've been through similar issues - it seems that if something is not quite right, then the Live TV functions will not be available.
Raspberry Pis are notorious for USB power hassles - having the DVB-T stick plugged into a powered USB hub, then into the rasppi might solve.
The other thing to check is if TVHeadEnd backend is enabled (under Services, I think). Then enable the TVHeadend frontend client (in Addon > PVR clients)

I don't know what built in addon in kodi can deal with a tuner - unless that's what tvheadend is.

Normally the way it works is kodi will talk to another PVR software, mythtv, mediaportal, nextpvr etc - which will control the tuners. With kodi just used as a remote client.

Yep - David is right - you need a PVR server running (can be on the Pi as well) which Kodi connects to as a client. The OSMC distro of Kodi has an addon for a TVHeadend server I believe, I run mine on a separate server since I have multiple Kodi clients which need to access the PVR streams.

Yeah I think I only installed the PVR Client without enabling the backend server which explains why I couldn't connect to it via browser....doh!

Will try this when I get home... :)
