Hi, Currently doing renovations and I want to clean wall mount a TV. We own a Tivo. I want to relocate this to another room and run HDMI to an input on the TV but still control the Tivo.

Most of the IR extenders I have seen seem to deal with a simple relocation to a cabinet below the TV.

Any recommendations for something that can do relocation to another room?

You could use an app to control the Tivo from your phone, no requirement for IR then

I put everything in the house in a cupboard in the garage. Wall mounted TVs and ran HDMIs point to point.

To control it all I used this

It's been flawless and without issue from day one. Highly recommended.

This one comes with a white faceplate which acts as the IR receiver.

How far away will the TIVO box be?
If the distance is over 7-8 meters, I'd recommend running Cat6 and sorting out either a Balun or HD-BaseT solution that incorporates its own IR system...

Hit up aliexpress for an IR repeater system. See if you can get a USB powered one so you dont have to worry about another power adapter, just pinch the USB from the TV to power it. Mine was about $8 or so. Chop and extend the cable on cat5 or whatever for the LED, there are little screw terminal 3.5mm plugs around if you dont want to chop and use screw terminals.

That's what the Sparky came up with. In fact whatever the question was, the answer was CAT6. Lucky we have fibre!
