Seasons greetings to you all.

I thought I'd share the deals I received at Noel Leeming the last two days.
My brother in law and I went in on the 27th and saw and Samsung M7 speaker for sale at a discounted $327. Once we had the price checked it rang up at $99! The M5 rang up at $89.... We both took advantage of the M7 and after kicking myself went back this morning for an M5 and to my surprise they still had the display model available. I didn't bother haggling on the price!

So if anyone can find one in your local store I'd recommend seeing if you can get the same deal.... Especially as the original price for the M7 is $649.

Wishing you all the best for the new year.

All these small things are just background music. What annoys me with the LG musiclinks I already have is that there is no line out/optical out box for the system, so I cant have the good sounds play in sync with the others. Samsung have one of those as do sonos and panasonic. Main reason is that spotify will only send to one device and then its up to that devices multiroom stuff to get it playing everywhere.

Inputs are great... but will they play through out all the rooms in synch?
Analogue to digital conversion is normally pretty tricky synch-wise in multi-room situations.

Considering that even the LG's dont get properly in sync when playing together I dont have high hopes, but between rooms a few 10s of ms isnt too bad.

Wonder if the samsungs do any better as a left/right pair than the LG's do.

I have little faith in wireless speakers successfully playing exactly in sync when used as a stereo pair.

My old non wifi ones have all done it fine, both analog 800MHz ones and digital 2.4GHz, switch on the speaker to choose left/summed/right rather than a fancy app to do it.

I found the latest 2 app updates rectified my LG Music Flow sync problems. Also your wifi connection has to be spot on. Due to the good weather, I have moved my 2 spare LG H3s onto the deck and they sound quite superb. It is imperative that you allocate the left and right channels accordingly. The stereo spread and depth is actually very good once they are set up correctly. Multi room also appears to be in sync, from what I can tell.

I am using the H5s with the LG HS7 Soundbar, but I have to admit that the surround rear channels leave a lot to be desired. LG still have work to do in this area.

I have even tried them both wired to the same switch and still they are not in sync enough to image at all. Seems hit and miss too, sometimes they are so far out that it sounds like a bad reverb, other times almost perfectly in sync.

Its like if I start to play with the speaker distances on the PC and set them to absurd values like 1/2 foot and 30 feet but even worse than that.

We're slowly seeing wireless multi-room systems come out with room correction - so when you pair the speakers you can get a particularly effective result.
However, it's not cheap.

If anyone managed to get M7 they're not so keen on, I'd love to take off your hands - I am currently using my M5 and absolutely love it, so a M7 to go with it would be bliss. Would rather buy it from you than the scalpers on trademe....
