Wondering if anyone knows if I can and how?

I have a xbox one with a hard drive of video attached to it.

I want to be able to access those files to watch on a windows 10 tablet/laptop across our home network.

So you have a USB drive attached to the XBOne? You may be better off attaching the drive to your modem/router if it has that capability and sharing the media over the network that way.

No USB port on the modem... maybe I'll have to upgrade that down the track

Or if you have the parts, build up a media server such as Plex, then you can access media from any device.

Plex, nothing else touches it. You're welcome!

Makes a wifi network for devices to connect to to access the attached HDD's content, not too sure if there is a windows 10 app but works great for ios and android to watch media off a drive, even in a car with 2 tablets going watching junk to keep kids entertained and quiet when driving.
