Hey guys i was given a panasonic sa htd 520 through work (works fine but was going to be thrown till i got it wanted to see if I could get it set up with my small lcd tv and the xbox one or 360

My main goal is pretty much get the audio running through the home theater so far the 360 does this fine running through the aux but stumped on how I would go about it on the xbox one since hdmi and all

Google cant find that panasonic sa htd 520 model. Does it have optical in? Or else take audio from your TV back to it?

TV to home theatre 'may' work.

Is there an optical in option, and is there an optical out on the Xbox?

Looking at the pictures of the back of it from google image search, you look to be out of luck.

You would need to buy something to take the audio off the HDMI connection and give you analog audio. They exist but its pretty pointless putting the effort into a system that low end and old.

There was a coaliax plug on the tv other than that guess ill just have to use the 360 and the component ports on the tv

You can get a coax digital to analog adapter, but that will at best give you stereo into the home theater, not real surround sound.

I recently gave away a HT520 for exactly this purpose.

From the Game station use HDMI to the TV, then use the TV audio out (stereo) to the "AUX in" of the HT520

Set the HT520 Aux in to pseudo super surround(button on remote), kind of fakes full surround.
Play around with game box for sound settings until you find one that works, I had the HT520 matched with a Pany BD player which could output stereo encoded for surround.

This should work reasonably well.
