I too spotted this, but I can't find a manual or detailed specs for that model number.

JVC are a midrange brand, this model seem to be warehouse specific. Guess you should look up brand reliability, look at it in store, check the warranty, check the connections / ports, then decide.

It's a redalert deal, I think it'll be done in about 1 more minute

And there was me looking at the 4K 55" Veon TV's at our local branch like an hour ago, 4 HDMI's and 3 year warranty. Don't think it was on sale though. Just a coincidence. Don't know why I mentioned it at all really....

I'd say the Veon and the JVC would be very similar. Probably an LG panel.

JB had a 4K Akai they were doing for that price as well - probably the same thing in a different skin as well.

Didn't DSE have JVC? Maybe TWL bought the leftovers?

Thats what I was thinking. Although I dont recall DSE having 4K versions so maybe TWH has picked up the rights to sell them?

AFAIK these panels are not bad, I did a bit of research on the ones DSE stocked.

Keep checking the site if you're still interested. Sometimes stock returns in there or more is added

Back in stock for me, but once again I'd be hesitant to go 4k this early in the game before the specs are fully out on hdmi requirements etc.

Also, not in the harmony database, so for me this wouldn't integrate nicely, unless I was looking to feed it constantly via hdmi from a receiver etc, in which case the input would never change of hdmi one.

Still up, is tempting but just paid $890 vet bill with $1500 due next month so maybe not!

Had it in my cart, umming and arring, didn't want to waste money, but would happily spend if it was going to be a good picture.

I think if I had means of playing 4K - eg 4K netflix movies (not series), 4K blu ray, 4K laptop output (watch youtube lol), 4K SKY, OR if it upscales 1080p very well, then it would be a keeper.

While I was doing the research and came back with zero answers in PQ or upscale PQ, the cart expelled my item.

Decision made for me :)

PS priceme says the good guys are selling it for the same price.

I passed on it too.

There isn't enough information on it.

It is suspicious when you can't find full online specs.

I would rather miss out on a good deal than buy a bad deal.

I wonder if the TVs were part of Dick smith's liquidation.

The web search did point to old Dick Smith webpages.
