Hi, just switched over to dvb-t after cancelling Sky after using dvbs/oscam/dvblogic etc for many years.

I'm using latest epgcollector with latest fixpack (4.3 fp2) and get the EPG for all channels apart from "Four" and "Four plus 1".

I don't see those channels in the guide.

Any ideas?

I'm using the following freeview.ini file;

[GENERAL]

Output=C:\epg\TVGuide.xml

Timeouts=10,300,5,1,50

[DVBT]

TuningFile=New Zealand.Auckland - Sky Tower.xml

ScanningFrequency=530000,8,MHEG5

July 3
Mediagroup has ceased broadcasting TV4 and in theory commenced broadcasting a channel called 'Bravo'.

I do not normally watch this channel, however your question caused me to go and have a look at this new channel but indeed 4 has dissappeared and there is no evidence of Bravo despite retuning twice.
Will have a look later.

As pointed out Four and Four+1 no longer exist, hence the reason you won't get them.

What PVR software are you using? I assume it's something that doesn't support the EIT EPG as there is no need to bother with 3rd party EPG apps since Freeview started transmitting the full 8 day EIT EPG around a year ago, but you need PVR software that can support  Huffman encoding.

thanks guys, I'm using dvblogic on a quad DVB-T tuner (TBS 6205).

the EIT data under dvblogic only shows 3 days at max, hence the reason why I need to use epgcollector. I'm guessing this is a limitation with the way the EIT data is shown under dvblogic if the 7 day guide exists as EIT data.

I reset the dvblogic configuration and then rescan and saw Bravo and Bravo plus 1 in there - I seem to remember a long standing dvblogic bug where a channel name difference on the same channel number causes issues with the dvblogic internal config. and I guess its a case of random luck - the day I decide to wack in the card was the day the channels were being swapped around!

So I'll see how things go (dvblogic was always rock solid for me anyway once you understand its quirks).

the TBS 6205 looks 100% solid so far.

On an Nvidia shield TV - the FTA channels just need to come to the party with quality Android TV apps. I tried side loading the tvnz android app (supposedly just for Samsung devices), and got a message up saying "Due to rights agreements, we can't offer HDMI out right now". Its a far cry from other Android TV apps like BBC iPlayer.

The only thing I'm missing from Sky right now is the monthly bill!
