Epson have some cool new projectors on the way, the 6040UB and 5040UB as known in the US. Or the TW9300 and TW7300 in the UK and eventually NZ.

Motorised lens with 10 memory slots, and using e-shift ala JVC to upscale 1080p to a faux 4k image. Will accept a 4k stream as well, starting under $3k USD.

Yeah really looking forward to these specially considering that JVC lack a gaming mode and their response time is 100+ms

Do whatever you want to do man.

Epson rep has just told me the TW9300 will be available in September, but apparently they're not bringing the TW7300 model to NZ... RRP for the 9300 expected to be $5599 but not yet confirmed.

The 8300 will be coming instead of the 7300.

D'oh... got my models confused. That's the middle one so good to hear, thanks. Should be $500 or so cheaper than the 9300, and comes in white.

They're here... or at least listed on the NZ Epson site. EH-TW8300 for $5199, EH-TW9300 $5599 rrp. Look forward to hearing any NZ opinions on these puppies once installed and setup.
