Hi guys

Can you tell me if the Marantz sr5010 is going to be compatible with speakercraft profile aim7 TWO? I am planning on getting 5 of these for surround as im getting a good deal. I was also told by a local av shop that wiring would be different vs buying speakers from local? I dont believe that but maybe you could shed some light on that. thanks

The speakers will be fine with your amp, just make sure you set all speakers to 'small' within the amp menu.

Also, run a subwoofer with it... that's all.

In regards to wiring, your question doesn't really make sense... care to clarify?

Thanks for your quick reply. I was told that by a Best Buy customer representative but maybe she doesn't know much because did refer me on to geek guys for clarity. She said that the back of the speaker looked different and something about wiring maybe different. To me it doesn't make senses all speaker wiring should be same and this one isn't that expensive to have any other special wiring requirements.

Standard wiring - I'm guessing you're in America?

Dealing with help desks at big box stores won't get you too far...

Some inwalls have a detachable plug that can make it look different, but the plugs come with the speaker and its just so that you can take it off to wire it so you are not trying to wire a speaker while holding it up in the air.
