After playing with Media Portal TV Server + Front end for the last few days I still can't get things working correctly after a S3 suspend/resume. The TV service just don't seem to work properly.

A quick search indicates huge numbers of people with issue such as this and I've struggled to even find what could be the best solution. Since I know there are a few Media Portal users on here does anybody know exactly what settings are required to get this working properly?

First up what type of tuner card do you have. Some, such as my Technotrend one, seem to have major suspend issues which are driver related. Otherwise are you using a MCE Remote with IR Suite as some versions of that app also have problems with suspend.

Finally Vista or XP?

It seems to be one of those things that some people are fine out of the box and others have major issues.

I've got a Hauppauge Nova T 500 and Hauppauge MCE150 running the MCE remote.

Have a look at this post

I think the latest version of MP has a setting to delay reinitialisation of the tuner cards after a resume but I'm not sure if it's part of the PowerScheduler plugin or somewhere else. I'll have a look when I'm around my box again and will let you know.

Thanks. I'll have a play when I get home. I had read quite a few posts on the topic but hadn't seen that one in particular.
