My wife is off to China again at the end of the week, I am going to get her to get a blue tooth speaker that I can use with my Laptop, Surface or Cellphone inside or outside. What can folks recommend?

This is primarily for listening to music and media

+1  Bought one of these for my wife, and she loves it.  It exceeded my expectation as well.

I have two bluetooth speakers, Logitech and Sony.

I really like my Sony XRS X-33, it is very clear and loud.

UE Megaboom or boom 2 seem to be the go-to speakers.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I had the UE Megaboom (nice but the upright position is weird) the Sony and the Fugoo (one that we're giving away now). The Fugoo is really nice, with a booming sound.

Not worth the luggage space on a speaker from china when there is probably way more interesting things that you cant get online to fill the suitcase with.

Just look thru aliexpress or similar for an idea of what is available, its not much cheaper in person over there, and in some cases some sellers want considerably more if it is in a touristy area.

Best to use luggage space on things that need you to buy in person like clothes etc.
