In the past i have been able to coerce every operating system 32/64 bit one way or another to cooperate with the stock Hauppage drivers and UI but for the life of me I cannot get this to behave with Windows Server 2008 EE x64. I am attempting to use the 4.2 driver set from Hauppage Germany (20 March 2008) which seems to detect and install without complaint but device manager flags as "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

Launching WinTV6 (in this case I just want to display Saturn TV in a topmost window no other PVR type functionality required) unepectedly leads to "Cannot Access TV Tuner, please check the unit is connected and the drivers are correctly installed.(0)". and the app quits.

Chris TV fails abyssmally with unhandled exceptions. GVB-PVR notes helpfully from the setup application and the mux checker that there is no "NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE[sic] FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE."  Another message from GVB-PVR is "The Microsoft MPEG-2 Demultiplexer does not seem to be available on your machine...." WinDVD 8 (which provides a demuxer) is installed as is all the latest DirectX libraries. This is the 24xxx series device.

Is anyone successfully running video capture on Windows Server 2008? Is so what config/device/hardware.?

The only oddity about this OS install is that it has been progressively upgraded since Beta 3 or whenever upgrade was functioning. i.e its not a fresh install.

In the longer run I would like a mobile Freeview HD capture solution. Thoughts on acheiving that on Windows Server 2008? Reinstalling Windows Server is not an option but I would consider a test install if others have had success in the past.
