Hi Guys,

I noticed this not long after I bought the TV but thought I would ask whats going on, also thought about posting on the Sky Forum and may do but it looks to be a TV feature.

Connected to UHF

Okay TV auto tuned all the Freeview channels (digital only scan from memory) plus a whole load of sky channels apparently. If I choose one of these channels I get a message saying the signal is scrambled which is understandable and its not just a couple of sky channels it seems to be dozens.

So is Sky broadcasting in digital on UHF ?

Just Curious.

Thats a new 8 series, which I suspect will have dual tuners. And I suspect you probably have a miltiplexing splitter combining UHF+SAT down the single cable

Dish on the roof perhcance?

Hi Guys,

Oblivian - Yes it does have the Satellite connector but it’s not connected (that’s another question can I pick up satellite TV directly if I plug in a dish)

Dolsen – Ah okay the Igloo signal, my old LG never saw this is the Samsung scanning a greater range?

Thanks for this information BTW.

Igloo is DVB-T2. Perhaps Samsung only had DVB-T tuner, so, not visible to it.

Will the TV give you info like the mux or frequency one of those Sky channels are on - that will tell you where it's coming from.
