Hi,

There's been a few mentions of HDBaseT matrix switches in previous threads but I haven't found anything with specific recommendations based on first hand experience.  I have seen some mention of issues around HDCP and one display going blank when an input source is switch to a second output or a display is powered on on a second output.

I'm looking for a 4x4 HDBaseT matrix switch with IR support.  I don't have any 4K sources or displays so that's not a high priority at this stage, however because some of the potential TV locations only have a single Cat6 run it would be good to if I could run LAN traffic over the same port.

I've come across the following options which range from the basic to 4K capable and LAN, just wondering if anyone has first hand experience or tips about what to look out for.

  1. http://www.cdlnz.com/hdmi100/hdmi150/CMPRO-U4H4CVE (does LAN over HDBaseT)

Alibaba has also been mentioned.

Thanks,

Dean

Blustream is widely used amongst AV installers, the rest tend to be used by 'home enthusiasts' who don't mind mucking around a bit.
