All,
I have moved into a new home which has a sony home theater system (DAV-IS10) mounted on the walls and ceiling. Ideally I would like to re-use the speakers as they seem decent enough and I would prefer not to risk damage by removign them (and my ear is not thaaat fussy). The control unit and the subwoofer have also been left.
The propriety speaker plugs to link the speakers to the subwoofer (configuration is control unit to sub-woofer to speakers) are missing. I believe they look something like this :
As I said - I'd love to reuse the speakers, but am not really on top of my options. I have an HDMI LG screen, and a bare-bones pc media centre.
Obviously I could try source the plugs from somewhere (but cursory internet research has then coming in as a bit dear per tiny piece of plastic. Are speakers likely to be compatible with other AV receivers? Or better yet is there some thin way I could link them to the media center?
Advice and ideas welcome.
