Hi all,

Has anyone got any experience or recommendations for a portable bluetooth speaker with an integrated microphone?

Ideally looking for something portable that can be used to listen to music but also be peered with my iPhone to take conference calls when working remotely. I've identified the Logitech X300 and JBL Clip 2 as potential candidates but the reviews I've read really focus on the speaker functionality and not the microphone capabilities.

I've tired using the iPhone recently for conference calls but have found it to be pretty hit and miss.

Ideally the budget would be less than $100 and the device would fit comfortably into a backpack.

Cheers

I bought the Marley Chant Bluetooth speaker over the christmas break, it has an integrated microphone - but alas I've not tried the microphone at all.

This definitely fits in the category of fitting in a backpack - and the claim of an 8 hour battery is good too.  (And it does seem to last for ages).

It does charge via microusb (painful if you are currently all lightning connectors)

The Chant mini also has a built in microphone, with a 6 hour battery and $90 at NL currently.  I'll see if I can't organise a speakerphone call sometime soon and test the built in mic.

Not in budget, but the UE Boom has a mic. Never used it for the mic myself though.
