So where have all the wireless rechargeable headphones gone ?

Used to be that nearly every other electronics dealer had some form of wireless headphone, and you placed the headphones on this stand, and it would recharge the headphone batteries whilst not in use.

For the ageing mum-in-law who's going ..going ... deaf, she has the TV volume cranked up to quite loud volumes much to the consternation of her adjacent dwellers in the retirement village.

Cant seem to locate these headphones anymore - I have seen the non-rechargeable versions, but not good for the MIL to handle fiddle-some AAA batteries.

Some kind of rechargeable stand, or I have seen headphones that use a "Battery Pod" that you charge up via USB, and then plug into the headphones.

Some headphones are bluetooth, and I cant quite figure out how to use the headphone socket for bluetooth - do I plug a bluetooth adapter into the headphone socket, like this:

and then match it up with a rechargeable headphone set like this:

Cheers

The last set I got was from dick smiths closing down sale.

Hopeless 2.4GHz things with no error correction so its a constant stream of crackle and loud clicks, which get worse as you get away from the base station.

If you are looking at other types, check the frequencies of them, I know there were some available on a fake "nz" site a while ago that were actually not legal here because they were 900MHz - may have been fushpond.
