For reasons I wont go into here I have been railroaded into converting a DVB-S based media center into a DVB-T. The computer is ancient, having been running for about 7 years, and it is a drive across town after work to gain access to it. I've already visited 3 times and thought I had it cracked.

I've no experience with using EPG Collector to directly import into media center (I use Big Screen EPG in conjunction with EPG Collector at home).

I will gather logs on my 4th visit but wanted to ask for recommendations of things to try so the visit isn't just a log collection road trip.

Symptoms: During the initial set up I was scratching my head, watching EPG Collector run it would take it's time with the console showing it was successfully gathering the data, then MXF import would go fairly fast. The listings wouldn't show, or just a subset (eg TV2). I would double check the settings, run it again, and by the third or forth run, viola. Then a week later the call comes in that the guide data has dried up, I go over there run it a few times, doesn't work, rerun TV setup and double check EPG Collector settings and it's back in business.

I have got something fundamentally wrong but I don't know where to go with this one.

I am testing by right clicking and executing a scheduled task.

Running Win 7 x64 and EPG Collector 4.3 FP8.

Ideas?

It sounds like the mapping between the EPGC channels and the WMC channels is being lost.

Have you set the option on the Output tab to disable the in-band guide loader and are you automatically mapping EPG data to channels?

You could also try manually mapping the channels to EPGC data in WMC and see if they stick.
