Hi folks

Just wondering what experiences others have had with getting a TV signal to work after standby? I have a Hauppauge HVR3000 and a TechniSat SkyStar 2 (running in BDA mode) with a 680G motherboard, using MediaPortal. It is set up with PowerScheduler to switch off when nothing is happening, and then turns itself on to record (or manually via remote). The only issue is that once it has resumed from standby the HVR3000 no longer works - I can still see DVB-S channels via the SkyStar 2 fine, but neither DVB-S or DVB-T work on the HVR3000. If I reboot, everything works fine. Do others have this problem? Is there a workaround?

On a related note, I am thinking of getting an HVR2200 - does this card work on resume from standby?

Both my Hauppauge Nova T 500 and WinTV 150 work after standby on XP. Using DVBviewer (with Task Scheduler plugin) with Nova T 500 and GB-PVR with the WinTV 150.

Getting it to wake up from standby and record has been the least of the issues I have had when building my new HTPC.

The resume from standby issue is a Media Portal issue. I spent hours trying to get Media Portal to correctly resume from suspend and gave up. I'm not alone with this problem if you read their forums!

My GB-PVR setup with HVR3000, Nova T 500 and MCE wakes up for recordings and goes to sleep (S3) perfectly.

I am running two Hauppauge HVR3000 cards in Windows Vista media centre and have no issues with the cards waking up.

Media centre PC - Case Silverstone LC16M with 2 X 80mm AcoustiFan DustPROOF, MOBO Gigabyte MA785GT-UD3H, CPU AMD X2 240 under volted, RAM 4 Gig DDR3 1033, HDD 120Gig System/512Gig data, Tuners 2 X Hauppauge HVR-3000, 1 X HVR-2200, Video Palit GT 220, Sound Realtek 886A HD (onboard), Optical LiteOn DH-401S Blue-ray using TotalMedia Theatre Power Corsair VX Series, 450W ATX PSU OS Windows 7 x64
