Hi All,

Simple question -

I am (or rather am trying to) running Media Portal with WinXP SP3, MP RC1 and a Hauppauge HVR3000 card - I can't get it to detect ANY analogue TV channels - with GBPVR I do get to pick up some, and with as regular TV I can pick up all of them....am I missing something? Have set Country to NZ, Source to Antenna, Sensitivity to High. I hit Scan for channels - nothing.

Surely it can't be that hard?

Cheers,
B.

Hi,
1. Are you running TVServer? TV Server doesn't like cards that don't have hardware MPEG2 encoders, (some work has been done this area though. ymmv)
2. For some reason you have to set source to cable instead of antenna. (this is at least true Hauppauge PVR-150 cards)
3. If you want to do analog I would suggest getting a card with with hardware encoding. Using the cpu to do software MPEG2 encoding on the fly is not very pretty.
4. You'll get a LOT more help if you come to the MediaPortal forums :)
