Hi - i'm using latest EPGC with fixpack 8 to get EPG as in subject. I was unable to get a complete guide in Mediaportal using the Waikato (Te Aroha) Terrestrial settings using all sorts of combinations of settings. The following settings gave me a complete guide but some channels (1, 2, 3, The Edge) only had a tiny portion to click on in the Mediaportal channel guide:

The following DVB-S settings gave me a complete guide in Mediaportal, but I'm unsure whether there are likely to be any problems using the DVB-S scan results for terrestrial channels

(I hope these images display correctly - I'm no expert at this stuff ;-)

Any recommendations gratefully received

Steve Winter

If you have a DVB-S card in the system then you can let MediaPortal grab the EPG directly using that itself, no need for EPGC to do it and then pass it to MediaPortal.

There may be some channels that you can get on DVB-T that' aren't available on DVB-S however, so you would still need EPGC for those.

Not sure what you mean by 'a tiny portion to click on'?

Sorry that was unclear - the channel guide in Mediaportal only had a tiny portion of the bars with the program details - as in, not big enough to see more than the first letter of the program description. But only on some channels. Ill try Cyabro's suggestion

Hi Cyabro - what settings should I use for my DVB-S card in MP TV Server configuration just for EPG collection? I have disabled EPG collection on my terrestrial cards, and enabled it on my DVB-S card. I presume I need to scan for channels on the DVB-S card, but only enable the DVB-T channels for viewing. Any advice would be appreciated
