Afternoon all, I'm a noob building my first HTPC and would love some advice from those with the scars.

I've setup a windows 10 pc with quad tuner car

Omnikey car reader

DVBLink & TVSource

Oscam & associated plugins (acamd etc)

Now just getting to here has been many hours of trawling google and forums.

Does anyone have the latest transponder files for DVBlink? I'm having trouble picking up all channels I'm after.

What is everyone using as their interface at their main tv? Kodi? Plex etc?

Very keen to see if I can pump said channels in Plex in a meaningful way as we're big users of Plex

What control method is everyone using at their main TV also.

If you have other devices around the place what are you using to consume from DVB or similar?  Web based? clients? etc

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I built a HTPC back in 2009 with a Freeview HD tv tuner and using on-board GeForce 9400 graphics  - and its still going today on Windows 10  . I'm  thinking of doing a new build with a on-board gpu  again, from what I have read and what's available I'm waiting for budget intel coffee lake Pentium G4660 \ Amd   Raven Ridge chip because there is hardly any current kabylake motherboards that support  - HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 outputs to allow for 4k content to be streamed . I always like to make my builds more efficient than the last and going from a q6600 65nm down to a lower end 14nm chip should to the trick and handle 4k playback.

What channels are you missing?
I use basically the same setup as you and dvblink picks up all channels automatically from Optus D1.

We use an Apple TV 4th gen on our tv.
Dvblink have an app as do plex.
Dvblink also has apps for mobile devices so you can watch live or recorded tv from those devices as well.

Well I think I fixed the channel scan thing, I had the correct transponder file but my LNB SW was slightly off. I have now got what I believe are all the channels but my acamd isn't working. has an error saying Acamd_PMT search, not found in acamd log. driving me crazy

So youve put the acamd files in the plugins folder under each tuner folder?
And you’ve configured Oscam with a user for each tuner and used a different user in each acamd config file?

Yep, although I may need to confirm the settings with others. As I say I had oscam and acamd working until I added these new channels and now acamd has a search not found error
