Hi, I've had this TV a few months (6+) & its going great. Just turned it on this morning & now i'm getting NO SIGNAL.

 

Ive rescanned all my channels & 0 channels found..  I *CAN* connect to Netflix etc.

 

I'm the only person in this house & havnt messed with any wires at back of device (I have physical issues so cant).

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

Freeview status shows as normal EXCEPT Lower Hutt.

Aerial reception can slowly degrade over time and then at one point, fall off the cliff, meaning no reception for you.

 

It doesn't necessarily discount the TV tuner failing (rare) but it can include the aerial moving due to wind or corrosion, the cable can corrode or (more common this time of year) foliage can grow between the aerial and the transmitter...

 

I'd start by looking for a tree that has bloomed very recently...

I'll get a friend to look at the arial / plugs - but last week the landlord fixed the arial. Was signal strength of "2" & it increased to 10, but i lost one of my channels (HGTV)

also when i start auto-tune it starts at Ch 21 - not channel1

UHF band spans 470 to 862 MHz, i.e., channels E21 through E69. Entire band is not used in NZ however. Channel 1 would be an old VHF assignment, 44 to 51 MHz, which of course is no longer used and used to carry WNTV1.

If HGTV is gone then many others on same mux will be missing also.

I was on TV/Av all day - not HDMI1 my usual setting :)

So you're implying that there is no antenna connected to the TV at all and you use a Dish box (cannot be bothered looking to see what you swaped the TiVo with).

I dont know what its connected - i think the arial goes to the T2200, & another wire goes from T2200 to the TV. The Noel Leeming person set it up.

 

 

 

Ps ive got a disability - i never get on the floor, my legs ache just with a few seconds kneeling on the ground. Im always standing or seated in a chair. and dont go rummaging round the back of Tv's etc.

 

 

 

Anyway, its all fixed. I did think it was on the right setting as my Netflix still worked so i didn't even think to check the AV/HDMI/other similar settings etc (i guess Netflix works even if the TV doesnt). it still "looked" for channels if i did a channel scan on the T2200 and showed me all the menus / options, so i had no messages/warnings telling me it wasnt on HDMI1.
