Is this worth buying, I'm leaning towards the 65", the wife is asking why...
Noel Leeming and Harvey Norman have the 65" for $6735 and the 55" for $4905.

Been looking to replace my old Samsung LA46B650, and do want to finally put the TV on the wall.

I'm tempted to bite the bullet and buy it at that price.

Based on my experience last year, I would just wait another month until Boxing day sales. As I bought the Samsung 55" KS8000 last year at HN for ~$2800 at Black Friday which was posted here on GZ as a good deal, then it was like $800 cheaper on Boxing day sale.

I'm also on the market to buy a 65" OLED aswell. I'll most likely go for the LG C7. So I'm waiting until Boxing day sales time, will also be looking at getting the Yamaha YSP-2700 aswell.

I bought lg LG 65 C7 in the Labour day sales - paid a few hundred more than they are going for in the Black Friday sales, but you can wait forever or you can just bite the bullet and enjoy :)

My partner was also originally asking why we needed to go from 55 to 65 , but that stopped one we got it....

Based on my experience every year is different. It depends on a few things

1. demand - supply balance. if they have stock to clear in Dec, yes of course. But one year the ran out of stock on the panasonic VT plasmas and the price skyrocketed

2. USD- NZD ... but that tends ot have a delayed effect so it depends on when they bought the stock and when the exchange rate changed

3. some other economic or external factor
