Anyone using a Sky box or not, and currently able to view Mad Dogs E01 and E02?

I could watch up to the start counter 15, 14, 13, etc, until 6 seconds to go and then disappears and tuner can't get audio/video. Occurred also when Mad Dogs first aired a few days ago.

Is it R18?  If so, the Sky box will be wanting the PIN.

Maybe that's it but I'm not using a Sky box, an HTPC.

It appears it is R18 so could be related, but I know nothing about setting this up in Oscam/Acamd.  Any takers?

I am not sure Oscam supports this sort of PIN yet:

http://www.streamboard.tv/oscam/ticket/390

But you can try putting this in oscam.conf:

unlockparental = 1

and this in oscam.server:

pincode = 0000

The default PIN on a Sky box if you have not set it is 0000.

But nothing on those options says they work with Videoguard (Sky), so you may need to try adding Videoguard support to the source code.

I actually found that forum (again) and set those options yesterday, although I also looked through Geekzone's posts to see what the default pin code is for the MySky installations and those would suggest it is the first or last 4 digits of the Sky account number or date of birth DDMM or MMYY.  The MySky was installed early 2013 but the posts I read were all dated around 2008.  Do you know they changed to using 0000 at some stage?

There are several different Sky PINs.  I originally thought that there was just one Sky PIN and it would be the same on my Sky account, my Sky box and on the Sky-Go site, but no, they are all different PINs.  The PIN on a Sky decoder box defaults to 0000 unless you have set it at some time in the past.  There is a FAQ on the Sky help pages somewhere that tells you about this.  Since I have one of the new decoder boxes, not a MySky, I was not looking for MySky information when I read that FAQ, so it is possible that MySkys work differently, but I do not think it is likely.  The PIN for a box may well be stored on the Sky card - I hope so as that would allow Oscam to be able to use the PIN to allow decryption of R18 programming.  I do know that factory reset of my decoder set the PIN back to 0000 - I have tried this.

I ran into exactly your problem a month or so ago trying to record from Box Sets HD with Oscam/minisatip/MythTV, but at that time I was busy and just decided to not bother to record the R18 series as I was not even sure I really would like watching it anyway.  But it would be good to find a fix for the problem, even if I have to write some more code for Oscam to make it work.

0000 isn't working for me.  I'll try some others.  The Mad Dogs series is on Sky Box Sets right now if you want to play with it, until 7:30pm tonight.

I tried all the pin code variations that I've heard of, restarting Oscam after each change, and it doesn't work, so probably needs some code changes to Oscam as you mention.  I'm not capable of that.  Let me know if you get one working.  I use a Omnikey 1021.

Yes, I just tried and it did not work.  So I had a quick search through the latest Oscam svn code and there is no code that uses the "pincode=" option in the files that handle Videoguard encryption, so no wonder is does not work.  Unfortunately, I do not know of any documentation on how to access a Videoguard card, let alone any on how to use PINs.  So I am not sure if I will be able to do a fix for this.  When I have some more time I will have a look, but it is unlikely that I will have much luck with it unless someone can tell me how PINs work on a Videoguard card.
