Hey,

Well I have got a hybrid card (AverMedia HC82) and using MediaPortal to watch FreeView. I am also using CoreAVC as the codec. What is wrong is that I am unable to scan for analog stations in MediaPortal. I have set the card up as a hybrid card in MediaPortal, but still to no success. Just really wanting Analog for Prime and Juice.

I have posted in the MediaPortal forums, but no answers yet :(

Any help would be great,

Andysh

To my knowledge Mediaportal doesn't yet support the analog side of hybrid cards.  It's for this reason I have wacked in an old Hauppauge MCE150 to suplement my HVR2200.

Apparently it's in the pipeline, and I'd expect full hybrid support from Mediaportal way sooner than any of the other media centres.

And we just posted our AVerMedia Hybrid TV card review - but sbiddle tested it with GB-PVR...

IMHO don't bother.  MP is way more stable and complete at the moment, and it's support of hybrid cards better.

Just posted my thoughts on the Hauppauge HVR2200 over here

There was a plugin that allowed some hybrid cards (or anything without proper BDA drivers) to work with GB-PVR. Any analogue card without an MPEG2 encoder is going to cause issues.

The AVerMedia card I tested should work fine with Media Portal as well but the analogue tuner won't function at present.
