I have recently purchased a 32" Samsung LCD-TV model no. LA32R81BH. I currently have it connected to my HTPC via VGA, it is pretty good when compared to my old 29" 4:3 CRT TV Laughing. Is anyone using it connected via DVI>HDMI? Either cable or straight HDMI cable with DVI>HDMI adaptor? If so, does it run at 1:1 pixel mapping.

According to one subscriber it does run properly when coonected to an HDMI graphics card. Cheers.

Hi,

I'm using a DVI->HDMI cable from my 8500GT, seems to work fine. before that I was using the vga connection on my sony tv which is ok as well. Over the DVI connection I'm using a custom resolution 1360x768 which looks pretty clear and sharp, so maybe 1:1 pixel mapping is there?

The only problem I had was getting audio from the DVI->HDMI connection on my HDMI input. You'll need a internal spdif(2 pin) cable to hook up your 8500GT and your mobo spdif output pins so that the audio can be "passed thru" the card and onto your tellie.

That's not an issue. I SPDIF everything to my receiver via coax. Thanks.

One query concerning me. I have not been able to get the plug & play to work on my Samsung R8 menu screen it is greyed out. And so is the TV section. This is with a VHF aerial connection into my TV. Anyone else suffered this issue? I'm going to contact Samsung NZ but have not had the time to date. Cheers.
