Hi all

I'm in the process of buying a house and want to replace my current up-firing Atmos speakers with some in-ceiling ones.  Has anyone gone this route and if so, I'd love to hear some recommendations on speakers and even ideas around wiring, placement, etc.

Many thanks

Rip

Well according to Dolby you only really need Atmos certified speakers if they are going to be upwards firing and bouncing off the ceiling.

If you're lucky to be able to put speakers directly into the ceiling, then any decent full-range speaker would work it seems. That is also the optimal arrangement but most of us cannot get speakers mounted there.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.
