I have a customer who is hearing impaired. He asked me if there was some option that would allow him to integrate his Hearing Aids to pair with the new TV?

I don't know much about his hearing aids, wondering if anyone knew what he might be talking about and what options there might be? I thought about a Headphone Jack to Bluetooth Converter but then I know there might be some Sound out of Sync with Picture issues.

He ideally wants to be able to hear the TV properly without his partner being deafened.

Assuming the TV has support for RCA audio out, you could look at a bluetooth adapter that would pair with the hearing aids and use that as a solution, but I don't think there's any smart TVs that really cater to these cases in software yet.

My understanding is that such an arrangement definitely exists but that it’s a function/feature of the hearing aids - not of the TV itself. I’m sure it uses BT and the more sophisticated aids have BT built in. Most or all modern TVs have BT so it’s just a matter of pairing to that.

So the customer is saying the TV can't find his BT hearing aids. He is confident he is putting them in pairing mode properly. LG just says it can't find anything.

He is going to try and pair a set of Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones and see if that might solve the issue, but ideally he wants dual outputs so the other people in the room can also hear the TV though the regular sound channels.
