Hi All,
I'm currently using a old Sony Bravia KLV-40V300A and have been thinking about upgrading the one and only TV in the house.
Ideally, I don't want to spend a lot, less than $2k, as Tech is just moving so quickly. Having said that, I'm not interested in upgrading the TV every few years to keep up.
Samsung TV's are off the list due to issues friends and family have had with them. I'm not interested in the Veon's or Konka's either.
All the inputs (Blu Ray \ Vodafone T-Box \ Xbox One \ Xbox 360) run into a Onkyo TX-NR609 which has HDMI pass though on and picture to Sony. The Onkyo is running a 5.1 speaker setup.
In terms of our viewing, it's your standard Sky basic and sports. During V8 Supercar race weekends, the TV is on constantly for the coverage, and same during the cricket season. YouTube channels are also viewed on a regular basis through the Xbox One app, and while the Grand Tour was one, so was Prime Video.
When time permits, gaming through the Xbox one (first person shooters, and racing) games are played thought the TV to.
I do like the look and specs of the LG 49UK7500.
I've seen these as low as $1695.
Around the 49 to 50 is the maximum size I'm looking at. A 55 is just to big for the living space.
Aside from the LG I've referenced, are there any other contenders to be considered?
Is anyone out there running\using a LG 7500 series TV? If so, how have you found them?
TIA
