Having to rebuild my TVHeadend Server, no of course I didn't have a backup embarassed

Trying to work out the exact channel names to populate tv_grab_nz-py.conf due to the configure script not working with certain characters in some channel names. I can't seem to find these by trawling through the TVH GUI.

If someone could help with finding the channel names, or able to supply a current tv_grab_nz-py.conf for Auckland (Waiatarua?) that would be awesome.

Im no expert, but I used Matt Huisman's website and tutorial on how to set up my tvheadend server on rasp pi. Maybe the info you need could be found there?

The Auckland transmitters have full 7 day guide data transmitted OTA - why are you needing to use a python script?

It's unreliable/incomplete, and appears to be a known issue with TVHeadend and NZ Freeview OTA data.

News to me! I've been using it for years with no issue. What exactly is wrong with it?

I came across this which seems to explain what I am seeing: https://tvheadend.org/issues/4198

Got to there from this post: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=126&topicid=205124

When I look at the EPG on the TVHeadend server with OTA EPG enabled I see around 25% population of titles and when doing a EPG refresh I see entries appear and disappear.

I haven't had much time to fiddle with it, at some stage I will try again or focus on other options.

I actually briefly dealt with this exact problem a couple of months ago. It started when I upgraded from an old version to the bleeding edge unstable (a dumb idea at the best of times - I actually did it accidentally). No combination of OTA scrapers would produce anything other than what you saw (and is described in that link). I removed tvheadend, did a fresh install of stable, and set up from scratch. It has been perfect ever since. 100% complete guide data for every channel for all 7 days.

Happy to share my working config if you'd like, but I use Sky Tower so the muxes would need to be changed.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Hmm, I thought I had selected stable. I can always try uninstalling and reinstalling again.

If you are happy to share config I'd appreciate it, I'll be able to grab my current mux config and replicate it.
