Hello,

Im looking for some audio ideas for our show home, it wasn't wired for any speakers or anything so looking for options with possibly a couple of wireless speakers. We have a Sonos play1 system but requires to be turned it with your phone everytime. Because we have multiple different staff working in the showhome we are after something really basic that can just be turned on every day and turned off again either with a remote or on the unit itself.

Ideally we probably want something that we can use some sort of music streaming service rather than FM radio with ads and everything.

As I said simple would be good and we can have maybe 2 or 3 or even 4 speakers that are wireless depending on the price. and not battery say they can stay plugged in all the time. And yes we do have WIFI.

Thanks in advance :)

Taylor.

I have a Bose SoundTouch 10 which is a wifi speaker. Set up initially is done with a phone but after that all you need is a remote.

You already have the expensive bit - the Sonos 1. so why not get a cheap android phone, install the app and leave it in the showhome.

The Bose Soundtouch range have preset buttons that allow you to press a button on the top, this will then start playing whatever you saved to the preset (internet radio / Spotify etc).

Yamaha's latest MusicCast speakers have the same thing too - I've used it and it's super simple.

Both systems require you to initially set them up with a phone or tablet, but after that you're sorted.

I wouldn't leave a remote control around a show home though, it'll go missing like a heatpump remote!

You should be able to sell the Sonos 1 on TradeMe and go from there.

Just get any old smart phone/tablet, load it up with the apps or songs you want, and leave it there.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
