My Panasonic TH-55DX600U has been struggling to connect to to Wifi lately, normally I use it over a wired connection but it must of failed and automatically switched of to Wifi. I have finally got around to looking into it and have found that there is no connection from the TV. I have tried different ports and cables from devices that were connected successfully. I think it may of been from a storm at the start of December, but with Christmas and going on holidays I just didn't notice. My parents who live just around the corner lost their TV and amp to the storm, whereas I just found a tripped RCD and thought it was fine. Probably to late for an insurance claim now.

Does anyone have experience in getting TV's fixed? I tried searching and it seems like it is all just one board and a spare is $340 from Australia.

I don't believe the time frame would hurt an insurance claim...

Worth talking to your insurance company.

double check that your router isnt having an I.P (dhcp)conflict with other (usually wifi connected ) devices.

we had a similar issue with poor wifi connectivity and really really bad issues with one device and it required a complete reset of the router and deleting the wifi connections on all devices and then reconnecting everything to clear the I.P conflict.

Do you actually get a link light up at either end when you plug a cable in?

No, the lights are not on at either end. I have tried different cables and ports on both my router and switch. I imagine that if the was an IP conflict then the lights would still turn on. I might try an old router to see if there is any connection there.
