First of all i am sorry if this is the wrong forum to place this - if it is the wrong forum please move it to the correct forum :)

Ok. I am trying to get better reception for Prime. I tried on my HDTV and also my "Box" Television. I dont have a UHF aerial only bunny ears. I was working on it for about 30 minutes moving the aerial around, changing aerials but nothing really seemed to happen.

I have bought a freeview box - however i havent taken it out of the box yet because im not really sure what to do with it. I did look at the freeview manual last night but i think i need a UHF aerial for it to work not bunny ears?

All i want is a better reception of Prime. What do i need to do?

These are my two suggestions that i think either 1 will do:
1) Get sky installed
2)Get someone to install a UHF aerial on the roof.

I live in Wellington so im not sure if that makes a difference or not?

If you suggest i just get a UHF aerial installed then could you please point me in the right direction of who to go to? I think Prime TV installs UHF aerials but im not sure?

Thanks for all your help :)

You obviously need to get an external UHF aerial. Prime do not install aerials, you either need to install one yourself or have a look in the phonebook for a TV aerial installer.

To get UHF reception, one should use a UHF aerial.

Depending on where you live, Wellington is a big hilly place, then you may be able to get away with an indoor UHF aerial from DSE. Otherwise you will need to investigate getting an external installed.
However, here are a few, very few, places where even an external is no good. You should not be in this area.

I would try setting up the freeview box now and see how it goes, it may work perfectly fine regardless of your current prime reception issues.

The bottom of the page gives 3 options. You really want the sat one if you have a widescreen since thats the only way to get widescreen, but wont help you with your freeview reception since thats UHF
