Have just read an interesting thread on The Green Button. Haven't had a chance to really look into it yet but it could be quite a find.

http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/278230.aspx

Don't quite understand Mikegb's post but maybe it will make more sense when I get a chance to have a play.

The site is for a Vista Media Center box with software supporting some stuff. It looks like that link is to the the download for their software.

I don't think it is a public software. It looks like someone found the link to their package and started spreading it - not kosher I'd say.

The software can also be downloaded from a link within there website.

The software itself works, but doesnt do anything for WMC - I have provided them with the infomation they wanted - unsure what the outcome will be...

For those that haven't been following the thread at The Green Button, this has been creating a bit of mayhem.

The OP is seen as a probable spammer by the moderator but has shown enough to keep interest high. His last post:

Hi all.
after been blocked here its the prouve below.
Regarding H264 under Moonplayer and MCE.

Here for Moonplayer
http://www.ii-view.com/web/Mooplayer/untitled.html

here under vista
http://www.ii-view.com/web/Under_Vista/untitled2.html

To make more impact I record a video. And convert in Flash
Now they can t say I trick with pics.
U have Moonplayer and LIVE TV play in the same time

http://www.ii-view.com/web/000001/H264.html

and wait little bit the flash file its 8 mega

Seems to show H.264 being transcoded into MCE but the details have not been explained.

I have emailed iiView directly and they are setting up a NZ configuration and are adamant that they can do HD directly in MCE. I am interested to see where this will go.

Please let us know how you get on fisher191.

I too have been following the threads at TGB, but I really don't know what to think of what is being said.
