Hi,

I use WinTV v8 to record my F1 races which I later edit and burn to DVD.

I have been doing this your years and have a library of F1 races, dating from 1996.

Now that Sky has lost its F1 live coverage, like everyone else, I have had to resort to watching the live coverage on SparkSport via their BETA app.

Is it possible for me to record/tape this coverage?

If so, how to I rig up my system?

😄

How about if I plug a video recorder into my TV?

Modern TVs don't output any video signal. Video recorders play to the TV content recorded via their internal tuner.

The only device I can think of that might work is one of these http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_hdpvr2-ge.html

Designed for recording off gaming devices (via hdmi). I’m not sure what happens with the drm protection

I'd say DRM on HDMI will probably interfere with output and you will get just white noise...

Plenty of HDMI splitters will remove the HDCP,

Otherwise what about playing it on a PC and recording the monitor in OBS or something? Or is the DRM that invasive that you can't even do that?

OK - I have been able to resolve the issue 😄

I downloaded, installed and tested Debut Professional by NCH Software.

This programme works a treat.
