From memory of what I read on reddit, Sony pulled the Oreo update just before it hit Asia/Pacific because of some issues.  I think they're going to restart the rollout in April sometime.

Wonder if the rollout will include 2015 sets. If it does I hope it doesn't slow the UI down any more than how it is currently.

EDIT: Stopped being lazy, did some searching and found the answer - no.

"At the briefing, Sony Australia has revealed that all Sony Android TV 2018, 2017 Models (plus some 2016 models) will receive an operating system update to Android TV 8.0 (Oreo) as well as enabling Google Assistant."

Hard to see any real improvements in the new update , seems like they are removing more than they are adding ,

maybe that is why people are saying Oreo is more responsive , my concern is that I  will lose some of the features I currently have in the discovery menu .

I don't think any of the issue have been sorted with the release overseas yet so it may still be a while for us .
