Finding any information on that TV is difficult. Would make a great man cave TV for the price/size ratio.

I see Toshiba do OLED too, I wonder if the Warehouse will pick those up.

Great price but 75 inch is crazy big lol. I still have doubts about my 65 inch. And wonder how I'm gonna get rid of it when it needs replacing.

The old Regza Toshiba's were great in their day.  No idea if this new one has that same pedigree though. 

The Samsung 75" NU7100 is $2699 currently
It has HDR + better smarts and i would assume much better picture quality.

Having spent $450 on a new 55" Veon 4K TV, I can honestly say you get what you pay for. If a quality picture and good sound isn't important to you then the warehouse TV's are perfect for your requirements. I suspect the Toshiba's are in the next bracket up in terms of quality from the Veon's but still at the bottom of pile compared to the $1,500+ range of TVs form the main players. 

I wish I had used that $400 as a deposit for a mid range (1,800-$2,500 bracket) Samsung, LG or Sony. The blacks are rubbish, the viewing angle is so narrow if your not directly in front of it the colors get washed out, the sound is so bad I'm sure I miss 80% of the lower and upper ranges.  

There is a reason Warehouse sells cheap TV's and not the top end models, just be aware of what your giving up for the lower price point.  

I have a TCL. I'm still not sure what I've given up (other than OLED). (I have a Samsung LCD/LED too. - Pros and cons for each interface - yes really - but PQ wise I can't tell)

I'd say you spent it well. Save up for OLED. It's either cheap LED or OLED. Don't waste money on a $2500 LED.

How is the "Android TV" bit of the TV?

 

If you are expecting to keep the TV for any period of time longer than 2-3 years, ignore any of the "smart features" , there is absolutely no guarantee that they will be supported or updated.....

Make your decision based on the quality of Panel, deal with everything else with a STB... 

For my use, Android doesn't need to be updated.

It just needs to work.

And if the factory Android works, all I need is download an APK and install whatever I want.

My parents just purchased this TV and love it. They got it on special for $999 over Easter.

The Android operating system is really good too... nice and quick.

Really good TV for the price... recommend.

I don't suppose it has HDR

I bought the 65U98 about 6 weeks ago for 999 + 65 delivery probably the same as simon14, I haven't seen it back on The Warehouse website since I bought it, and feel it is such a bargain, so it is a slightly different model from the one you are looking at.

The android is version 8.0 (I think)

I downloaded a system information app from the android app store and it has a MT5891 processor with Mali t860 graphics, 2GB RAM and approx 12 GB storage with about 9GB available.  This has been used in many Sonys that also have Android.

The TV seems to be a rebadged 'Skyworth Globe'

The picture is vastly superior to a VEON, but probably not up there with LG, Panasonic etc but only noticeable if you have one side by side to compare and if you are coming from anything older than a few years it will feel like a huge step up.

My model has front facing speakers and it is LOUD, we like to watch real quiet after putting the kids to bed and this TV feels too loud on '1' but the sound is great, the sound is clear and volume goes up nicely, no need for a sound bar unless you want more bass.

Only thing that is a little disappointing is that live pause does not work when hbbtv is switched on, and this is required for Freeview on Demand.  Not sure if this is problems for all TVs?

All the Android stuff is smooth and quick, 4k playback on YouTube, Netflix works a charm, I have a hard wired network connection so can't comment on wifi performance.  Any questions just shoot

Ditto a friend recently bought the Toshiba 65 inch version and is impressed with both the picture and audio quality and good value for $999 on special.
