Have a Asus EN8500GT 512MB silent, currently hooked up via Component which is via the HDTV/Svideo port.
Is there a way to enable the DVI/HDMI at the same time as the Component for extending it to a HDMI TV in a room?

Nvidia control panel > setup multiple displays.
Not sure how this plays out with video playback.
