Can anyone explain why both satelitte inputs need to be connected to the back of a mysky box.  A single cable comes from the dish, then is split into two and both cables are then connected to the mysky box.  What is the purpose of the splitter??

The MySky1 box has no internal switch so you need a cable for each tuner. The new HD MySky has an internal multi switch so only needs one cable (at the moment).
